1. What if I have never practiced Moksha Yoga but have been practicing other forms of yoga?

As long as you apply with ample time to become familiar with the basic sequence in the Moksha series you will be fine. Please include this information in your application package.

2. What if I can't do every posture in the series perfectly?

We are all working on our practice -- this is why we call it a practice. It is great for a teacher to approach every class with a level of humility, so there is no need to come to the training with a 'perfect' practice - even if there were such a thing.

3.Are there jobs out there for Moksha teachers?

Yes. Job availability depends on the city you are living in and your own motivation to teach. In cities where there are many teachers, as is the case in Toronto for example, teachers have to teach practice classes for a little longer before becoming part of a regular class schedule. In cities where there are few teachers, many teachers hop right into a regular class schedule upon graduating from the one month intensive.

4.Do I need to have a meditation background?

Most students come to the training with little or no previous experience of meditation. There is no need for you to have experience in order to take full advantage of the daily meditation sessions.

5.What is the age range in the student population?

In past teacher trainings the ages of participants have ranged from 18-60.

6.Is it necessary for me to practice twice a day before coming to the training?

Many trainees do this in preparation. This might be a good idea just to get a feel for the experience and prepare your fitness level. However most students come to the training having never done two classes in one day.

7.How can I best prepare for the training?

Maintain a daily practice and read the required reading books as well as sections of The Anatomy of Hatha Yoga - a great resource.
